How We're Approaching COVID-19

Meagan Lucy

My passion for photography started when I was a little girl. I took my grandpa’s old view camera and turned my bedroom into a makeshift studio where I’d photograph my friends in garage-sale prom dresses. It didn’t take me long to choose “Intro to Photography” as my first elective in high school. I went on to graduate from the world renown Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, CA. After graduating I moved to Sacramento to work with Chris Kight, owner of Christoper Kight Photographers. I worked alongside Chris for 13 years before taking over the studio in 2014. I’m so grateful that my life-long love for photography has opened the door for me to help hundreds of couples and families remember their life’s most beautiful moments.

Andrea

I am a graduate from Sacramento State University with a degree in Photography &Interior Design. Although I don’t practice Interior Design, my interior design degree has added to my photography. I notice a lot more detail and things that many may overlook or thought weren’t important.

I developed a passion for wedding photography in 2005 when I was required to get an internship, and I haven’t looked back since. I fell in love with weddings and everything they have to offer. I’ve now photographed hundreds of weddings all over California and although all weddings have similarities, they each have their own story that I can’t wait to capture.

I also speak Spanish, which comes in handy in California. My passion for family as well as different cultures is undeniable and it shows in my ability to connect with people. I describe my style as a combination of traditional and photo journalistic perspectives with a mixture of fun and artistic views.I am proud of the work I’ve had published in Sacramento Bride and groom magazine as well as Real Weddings magazine. I’ve also won wedding couple’s choice award from Wedding Wire.

I’ve photographed weddings for nearly 20 years and I feel more passionate than ever about preserving the beauty and romance of my client’s most cherished day. My philosophy in wedding photography is simple: I capture the feeling. The look in the groom’s eye as his bride walks down the aisle; the emotion a mother feels watching her daughter’s first dance; the stunning and intricate detail in the wedding dress – my photos capture these feelings and make them accessible for years to come.
